Unimog is known as the most off road-capable vehicle there is. It’s logical that [some] things have to be sacrificed when it comes to driving comfort on the asphalt. The Unimog also demands the necessary maintenance.
Exterior: We opted for a steel subframe for this rugged Unimog, which is the best guarantee against torsion damage and is attached at the same four points. The construction is, of course, made out of our aluminium frame with insulation panels that are 60 mm thick and it also has plenty of Outbound components. A spare wheel rack has also been installed at the rear.
We use an aluminium bodywork to build even the largest living units. This keeps the weight low. Thanks to a steel subframe that is attached to the chassis at four points, this construction is guaranteed to be torsion-resistant up to a height difference of 70 cm.
